New Book & New Year!

As the end of 2020 is finally upon us, I want to wish you all the very best during what's left of the holidays. It's been a difficult year for all of us, but I remain hopeful that the New Year will bring us to some kind of "normal". This all said, I hope that you're like me, and have been making the most of what the world is at this time. During isolation, I continue with my writing. I'm keeping busy with my new series ideas, and with my commissioned travel writing. It's all very exciting!

I'm so grateful for those of you who have sent me messages and comments about my novels. I also love your artwork that has been submitted for the Sophie Torro Unlimited YouTube channel. More videos are currently in the works.

In 2021, my "new year's resolution" is getting back to the bird world of SkyTalons. I've almost completed the 4th book in the series and am happy to announce that it will be called SkyTalons: Bree's Burden. In it, we welcome new characters that include falcons and more...

Here is what it's all about:

The five tribes are convinced the legendary SkyTalons, Cornelius and Shadow, simply abandoned them after defeating the villainous rogue peacocks. However, a young falcon named Bree isn’t so sure. Although hatched with the ability to see the future, not a single one of her tribemates believe in her powers—or her urgent warnings.

Kawthra, a dangerous and otherworldly bird, is beginning a vengeful quest for power. Not even Jarquanzila, protector of the tribes, will be enough to stop it. Mysterious and shocking events take place around Bree, leaving her with no other choice. She must abandon her home to save the tribes, even if she has to do it alone.

Bree travels to the place where it all began—Cornelius’ old city home. Within this perilous new world, she searches for answers, and hope for the five tribes. Although nobody can be certain of what lies ahead, one thing is clear. Nothing will ever be the same again.

Down below is a small tease of the new cover. The art will be finished early in the new year, so hopefully SkyTalons: Bree's Burden will be released in early February. Fingers crossed!

I will also have an exciting giveaway in the new year too, so more information on that to come!

Again, thank you all for being so awesome! I never could have imagined the overwhelming positive response to SkyTalons, Q&A Kids, and the Ghost of Lanturna series!

May your new year be filled with good health, much love... and lots of birds and griffins! :)
